I set here Saturday morning, Barry curled up asleep beside me. Getting ready for the day.
We've been out to potty twice. Barry, not me. Made coffee...I've had breakfast. -Barry got his first. God, you'd think the dog never gets fed!
Now I'm trying to decide if I should go to the gym next - or wait till Meghan is up, so she can go. She likely won't be up til 10... or even 11.
Reading last night didn't occur. [sigh] It was canceled due to the three day holiday. Of course it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. I was dissapointed. My family was more along the lines of pissed. Time to move on. Plan for next month's. Since I had in fact decided on three to four poems, I figure by next month's I'll have even more options.
Weather is overcast this morning. There was a very fine mist in the air. Temperature plesant. It's been nice to get a break from the heat and parched ground that we've had.
Looking forward to the ball game tonight. It should be fun!
That's about it for now. I have decisions to make about the rest of me day. Ta-Taa!
I have a Reading tonight. Planning as it stands now to do two new poems. Linkage and Train Ride. This will be first public exposure for both. A early draft of Train Ride appeared in the forum on Fordard Motion under another (working title).
I'm glad it's Friday, but the day has been a busy one. The weekend should be cooler - it's been so hot lately and dry. But we have finally gotten some rain the past two days. Have a ball game to go to tomorrow night - that's exciting. If the weather remains nice this weekend - Meghan and I will play come catch and hit some flys. Oh yeah, Monday is a holiday - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Note: I don't want to close without saying that I feel I have had some real successes this week with some poetry. I feel very positive about my writing this week. Looking forward to a great weekend and another - even better week ahead!

Last Night....
Worked on rewrite of poem I'm presenting at the reading on Friday. I've decided to do a new one. I'll likely throw in a couple of others but my main emphesis will be on one that I have titled Train Ride.
Was able to carve out some time to go to the Gym.
We had a little rain last night. Very little, but that is more than we've seen in some time. I had to water my grape plants this morning. I think I am going to have to help the out with watering at least for a few days.
I need to do a critique for someone tonight and writing as well.
That's my Wednesday moring update... time to get busy.

Neglecting the Blog
I admit it... I've been neglecting the blog and the fact is I've had a lot going on and have felt a little like a shotgun load that's been fired. Spread out... all over the map.
The end of the week and weekend brought some writing success. They were mostly small successes and the time spent was minimal. Though I was relatively happy with the results.
Friday I'll be reading at Barnes & Noble and I need to seettle in on what I'm reading. Haven't really even given it a lot of thought at this point.
Found a good writing resource site last night. It's Organized Writing
We fixed a turbine on the roof tonight that was missing. Tried to install a light kit on the ceiling fan in the Great Room. Not successful yet. Uncle Dave was over to help. Ok, take the lead ::grin:: and he is going to try and find some wiring material on the fan. We'll take a stab at it again in a few days.
Well, it's 9:00 and I think I'll take Barry out for a walk and them settle in to read some. No writing tonight. I plan to spent a minimum of 10 hours this week writing. Tonight I'm about at the end of my energy level.
