Reading Went Well!
My first Poetry Reading went well. I was nervous as I arrived, evidenced by the fact that I was one of several standing by the sign in sheet awaiting for someone, anyone to sign up first. I was third. That suited me fine.
The Starbucks cafe at the Barnes & Nobel was full. There were maybe seven of us that read. Most had two or three poems. I only did The Big Chill.
I had family support present. That was nice. I know that many people don't easily expose written material to family. They had all seen this piece and like it very much. I do believe it is a very good reading poem. It flows well in spite of the fact that there are numerous analogies and some larger vocabulary in it.
The evening overall was in my estimation as success. I have my planner marked for the May reading night. I will have to look at my old stuff or perhaps create some new material. It was a good night. I was happy.

Evening Plan
Tonight I plan to do a poetry reading at Barnes & Nobel. Admittedly I am somewhat timid about this. It will be a first. My plan is to read my work I did titled, "The Big Chill" provided I don't get cold feet.
I'll blog on the experiance once it is history.

Weather Looks Scrumptious outside today!
Looks like a turn in the weather from the past few days. Last night was a good stay inside night. Plus Seventh Heaven and Everwood were new episodes. I love Everwood. It has such fantastic script writing and the characters are fabulous too.
I did some poetry work last night. Very rough draft stuff. Muse wasn't speaking much. In the morning, on the way in she called... hell I hate it when I don't get it all down. I think she punishes me for that too!
Looking for some feedback on the Forward Motion site from others on how they break out their time between writing, networking, community, research, etc. Hope to see some good dialogue on the subject over the next few days.
