No, it isn't. And no, I didn't reach 1,000 words yesterday. But not to fret. Some days I'll do more, I'm sure. Yesterday's word count was actually only 93. But!!!! BUT!!!! Yes, there is a But.....
It was a complete poem.
It seems to me that this next week may prove to be somewhat a challenge to get the average amount of words in... but this is not a surrender in any way, shape or form. Just an bit of reality speaking. Lots of holiday stuff to get caught up in. Still, the journey continues....

Striking Revolation
It seems reasonable to me that some minimal expectation of production ( writing ) is desirable. From the Forward Motion Community the idea of an 62,000 words in a two month perion seems a very good starting place. I've certainly done 1,000 + a day before, but setting that goal over a two month period is a good way of forming a habbit and developing regularity to my work. Starting today.... I'm off and running!
It seems this is as good as any place to start... I don't really quite know when or where this writing obsession began. High School maybe.... and that has been so long ago. What has happened over the years is still not quite clear to me... but here I am.
My current projects are a host of poetry - mostly free verse, a never ending "Candlestick Project" which I am must confess will have to end sometime and be published or I fear I will never really be satisfied. Then there is the baseball player bio for the SABR book to be published.
My reading currently consists of a Steven King book. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon which largely came abou due to the baseball connection and of course my love for the game. I am not normally given to the horrer element. I'm over halfway into this and I have both enjoyed and benefited by seeing his very expressive work. I hope to finish this and another work of Lucy Grealy's that I am into before the year's end.
